Superficial mycosis case definition

Any skin disorder involving a skin fold
OR presence of single or multiple circular skin lesions

Consider urgent transfer if:
Presence of chronic clear hypochromic patch with reduced sensation within the patch (suspected leprosy)

Pharmacologic management

Miconazole cream bid x 1 month

Tinea capitis case definition

Any scalp disorder in a child under 15 years of age
OR visible loss of hair
OR scalp scaling

Pharmacologic management

Fluconazole 5mg/kg po daily x6 weeks
