Description:

Remote Area Medical’s mission to prevent pain and alleviate suffering is fueled by donors and volunteers who support the operation of mobile medical clinics that deliver free, high-quality vision, dental, and medical services to children, individuals, and families who do not have access or cannot afford a visit to a doctor. Since 1985, RAM’s Corps of more than 100,000 Humanitarian Volunteers, comprised of licensed dental, vision, veterinary, and medical professionals, have treated more than 700,000 individuals and 67,000 animals, delivering $112 million worth of free health care services.

RAM® reaches deep into the isolated and impoverished areas of the world. We are driven with a passion to impact lives around the globe with our ever growing US affiliate network.

RAM’s work in Guyana is a prime example of how we serve those in need of medical attention on a daily basis. RAM pilots operating the Guyana Air Ambulance program provide vital emergency medical airlifts in remote areas of Guyana. Thousands of lives have been saved through the services provided by RAM® programs and volunteers in Guyana and other third world countries.

The information above pertains to Remote Area Medical Volunteers USA. We were affiliated with them but were Remote Area Medical Volunteers Canada. We are currently in the process of deregistering RAMV Canada.
