Description:

Missions of Mercy, Inc., a non - profit 501c3 outreach, was established in 1994 to bring assistance to lesser advantaged people in this world through medical teams, construction teams, orphanage assistance and educational projects and ministry teams.

This international outreach has been with short-term mission teams traveling to South America, Central America and the Caribbean, under the leadership of Reverend Dwight M. Stevens, M.D., D. TH., the President of Missions of Mercy and Pastor and Founder of the Paramount Church in Palm Beach, Florida.

These are international undertakings to help the disadvantaged through Medical Teams, composed of doctors, dentists, nurses and physicians assistants, meeting the specific needs of the people, as identified by local physicians and missionaries, and teachings in local health facilities. Construction Teams providing assistance in construction of medical clinics, churches and other facilities on the mission fields. Ministry Teams in churches and Bible Schools. 12-Step Drug and Alcohol Recovery Programs and Orphanage assistance.

Working together for over 20 years with Ecuadorian physician, Dr. Bacilio Malan Guacho, Missions of Mercy has helped Dr. Bacilio with a vision to bring much needed medical care, in particular ophthalmological surgical procedures, through the construction of a referral medical center building in Riobamba, Ecuador, South America. Pictured above is the medical clinic and Dr. Bacilio examining an indigenous Quechuan Indian patient.

Our mission trips always involve medical clinics in remote Andes Mountain villages, where the indigenous Quechuan Indians live ... with little access to medical care. Dr. Bacilio was born in one of these mud huts where many still live, but after receiving his medical training in Ecuador, he has devoted his life to helping his own people. And we support this noble effort by mission teams traveling to Ecuador ... by providing medical equipment and medicines ... and financially to support this medical clinic in Riobamba.
