Description:
Viajes por Esperanza are life changing volunteer trips to the Dominican Republic led by our founder, who has been traveling to the country for over 10 years, as well as native Dominicans. We can create custom trips for student groups, church groups, groups of friends or families. We can find a volunteer need to fit your interest. You can teach English, work on a project at a rural school, or volunteer at a rural medical clinic, the possibilities are endless. We want to turn your desire to serve and travel into a reality. Email us at mariposainternational@gmail.com to let us know your ideas.
Our signature trip is a regular trip to the Dominican Republic to work in a clinic in Los Ranchitos. We take nursing students who want to practice their medical skills, nurses who want to earn their CE and translators who want to work on their Spanish skills. Trip participants spend the first week in Santo Domingo, staying with a host family, going to Spanish class in the morning and exploring historical and cultural parts of the country in the afternoon. The second week, the group travels to Los Ranchitos, where we spend the week working in a rural clinic.
Other Programs: Donations of clothing, medical supplies and sundry items
