A lack of government support for health care, and a serious shortage of adequate facilities, potable water and sanitation services have led to a serious health crisis throughout Honduras.

Friends of Honduran Children Medical Brigades, consisting of 16-18 medical professionals, see up to 1,500 medical patients and 500 dental patients during their visit, providing free care to the country’s most vulnerable. Teaching prevention and healthier lifestyles are a key part of making a sustainable difference. Since its inception, over 100,000 Hondurans have received medical attention and over a million dollars in medicines have been dispensed.
