Description:

Helping Haiti’s mission is to provide the people of Cité Soleil, with sustainable, community-driven, development programs that focus on increasing the health, safety and well-being of the community.

Our mission is realized through several projects and programs, all centred around Cité Soleil, Port-au-Prince, one of the poorest communities in the western hemisphere. While we are physically in Cité Soleil, we walk the streets – through the good, the bad and even through the worse… meeting the citizens of Cité Soleil and getting to know them on a personal level. This approach allows us to forge ever-lasting trust and relationships with the people we’re helping.

Located on a main roadway in Cite Soleil, the Helping Haiti Medical Clinic is staffed by local Haitian nurses and nursing assistants.

In addition to serving as a medical clinic, our building also supports multiple training programs – first aid and CPR training, rape aggressor defense training, English language training – to name a few.
