Description:

Global First Responder is an international medical relief organization and a place for individuals to gather information on various relief agencies, share their stories, ask questions, and interact with others. Between the tsunamis in Japan and Indonesia, famine in Somalia, earthquakes in Haiti, and hurricanes and floods here in the United States, there is an increasing demand for medical volunteers to assist in relief and recovery. Many countries around the world are so desperately in need of support that something as simple as routine medical care can make all the difference.

Volunteers will be offering full-service medical clinics and health education classes and engaging in community service projects. The medical clinics will provide primary health care to all ages. The health education classes will cover general hygiene, disease prevention, infant care, CPR, and first-aid training. The community service projects involve constructing additions and making improvements to a hospital in Montrouis.
