Description:

Our Medical Programs are a partnership between Solidarity Bridge and local hospitals and medical personnel in Bolivia and Paraguay.

Our four primary programs - General Surgery, Gynecological Surgery, Heart Surgery, and Neurosurgery - serve the poor year-round through local surgeons. Medical mission trips support these programs and focus on bringing US doctors and nurses to Bolivia and Paraguay to train and equip the local medical community to better serve their fellow citizens. Additionally, once a year, our Multi-specialty Medical Mission Trip brings clinical and surgical US doctors and nurses to heal those living in poverty in Bolivia.

The annual Multi-Specialty Mission Trip supports and complements our year-round programs. This is typically our largest US mission team of 25-30 diverse professionals and ancillary staff who work with Bolivian colleagues at host hospitals to serve the population while advancing local capacities to continue the work after we leave. Specialties may include general surgery, gynecology, pediatrics, dermatology, family practice, cardiology, neurology, and dentistry. (Non-medical missioners are encouraged to join this effort as helpers, photographers, and bloggers!)
