Description:

A Broader View Volunteers is a USA based non profit charity and program expenses are tax deductible for US tax payers.

Most health centers where our volunteers are placed are under resourced, and understaffed due to the exodus of health professionals to larger cities. There is a great need of efficient hands to help the doctors, nurses and medical staffs in treating the ever-growing number of patients in community clinics, hospices and small hospitals. An important element of these placements is learning about healthcare practices in third World countries. Medical and dental placements are available worldwide which assist the local staff in whatever capacity they may need, such as taking medical history, checking vitals, providing check ups, giving vaccinations and HIV testing. As a medical volunteer, you will experience firsthand the discrepancy between the standards of care available in developed countries vs developing worlds. Dental programs engage the volunteer in patient checkups, extractions, simple surgeries and cleanings.
